barbwire

In Harrison, Montana, a beautiful world hides behind barbwire fences. This project celebrates ranching life through intimate images of my mother Jenny Kahrl. In this series of photographs, I communicate her personal experiences, uncovering the humanity behind  myths surrounding Western ranchers. Her delight in her work changes the ordinary into the remarkable, enabling us to look past the fence and into the field.
